Why CrossFit for Kids?

CrossFit Kids is not a scaled down version of CrossFit; it is CrossFit designed and geared for a specific younger population of and the developmental needs (neurological, cognitive, motor) of that demographic.

CrossFit 137’s Kids’ Program is specially-designed to help kids get better, stronger, fitter, faster—whether they are looking to enhance their team sport activities, or just live healthier, fitter lives.

We have a passion for fitness at CrossFit 137 and we want to share it with you! We hope to instill a life-long love for the sport of fitness.

Our Kids’ Workout is an exciting and fun way for children and teens to exercise and learn healthy lifestyle habits.

The CrossFit 137 coaches provide a safe and fun environment that guarantees success for all ability and experience levels. This is WAY MORE than just weightlifting. You will be learning fundamental exercises that challenge and inspire you.

The program is based primarily on body weight exercises, running, drills, games, tumbling, etc., and introduces the basics of safe weight training. We focus on good movement, having fun, teamwork, and confidence building.

Enrolling in a well-rounded program like ours will show you the health and fitness benefits of CrossFit designed specifically for kids!

Age Groups

Preschool-K (Ages 3-5)
A great way for preschool-age kids to release their energy while also building their cognitive skills. Through fun and inclusive games, kids learn basic functional movements (sit-ups, squats and push-ups), teamwork and responsibility.

Kids (Ages 6-12)
Kids classes help build confidence through fun through group fitness games and activities, and are designed for kids of all abilities and experience. Kids learn to safely execute body weight movements (sit-ups, squats and pull-ups) and develop and strengthen skills such as pushing, running, climbing, throwing and jumping.

Teens (Ages 13-18)
Teens will learn to safely execute body weight movements (sit-ups, squats, and pull-ups) and will work on barbell movements and strength training in a fun and positive environment.
